Embracing Nature: A Family's Journey Beyond Urban Life
A family's journey into nature after lockdown, exploring parks and green spaces for a fulfilling weekend experience.

During the months of lockdown, our family found ourselves confined to a community rooftop of about 20 square meters. With our three-year-old son and my growing baby bump of 24 weeks, we had plenty of time to reflect. Once restrictions eased, we were determined to spend more time outdoors, exploring green spaces and reconnecting with nature.
Occasionally sitting at a bar terrace while our kids munch on snacks and run around can be enjoyable, especially when it mimics the normalcy we experienced before parenthood. However, this is not the kind of routine we aspire to maintain.
Instead, we have discovered beautiful parks, trails, and landscapes that were previously unknown to us, allowing us to enjoy special family days or outings with friends and their children. This shift has transformed our weekends. Moving away from the hustle and bustle of urban life during the week has significantly improved our well-being. Our days off feel more fulfilling, fostering a stronger family bond while also refreshing our spirits for the week ahead.
We actively seek accessible plans suitable for our little ones, ensuring we are equipped with the essentials for a comfortable outing.
So, dust off your tracksuit, grab your leggings and windbreaker, and put on some comfortable, non-slip shoes. Let your adventurous spirit thrive! Prepare your children's wardrobe and pack a good picnic backpack. Nature will take care of the rest.
