Pay close attention, because the right ingredients matter! Whoever manages to prepare the most burgers correctly with speed and a good eye wins the game. In this game, you not only have to be quick, but you also need to remember the cards with the ingredients well. And here my daughter usually has the upper hand. No wonder she particularly enjoys this game right now.

The cards feature burger ingredients, and players take turns placing cards on the discard pile. Pay close attention and mentally count the ingredients. One tomato, three lettuce leaves, two patties… but how many slices of cheese were there again? Not so easy! Because for a standard burger, there must be at least two of each ingredient. And for a big burger, you need at least seven of one ingredient. It can get confusing, especially since the cards can also depict different ingredients or ingredients in varying quantities.

“No thanks!” you will often say in this card game for three to seven players and decline the card by placing a black game piece. Because the numbers on the cards are negative points, and these must be avoided. But the game pieces are limited and must be used cleverly. The quick game “No Thanks!” is easy to explain and a lot of fun! Here, strategy and luck are both required.

In total, there are 33 number cards in this card game with values from 3 to 35, which are shuffled and placed in a stack in the middle. Nine cards are randomly sorted out before the game begins. The black game pieces are distributed according to the number of players. When it’s your turn, you decide whether to take the revealed card or decline it. Because the number on the card is negative points, which you want to avoid, especially if it’s a high negative value!

Now the black game pieces come into play. With these, you can say “No Thanks!” and decline the card. Then it’s the next player’s turn, who decides whether to take the card or also place a black piece on it and decline it. This continues until a player takes the card or must take it because they have no black pieces left. Therefore, you keep your black pieces secret, so the other players don’t know how many times you can still decline.

If a player takes a card, they also receive all the game pieces on it. Since the black pieces count as positive points, the card becomes more attractive the more black pieces are placed on it. Once you take a card, you reveal the next card from the stack. This way, cards with negative points will gradually accumulate in front of the players.

The special thing is that you can form number sequences with your cards. If you can combine your cards into a number sequence, only the card with the lowest value counts as a negative value. The other cards in this sequence are not counted as negative points. But remember: nine cards were randomly sorted out unseen before the game began. So you cannot rely on being able to form a sequence with your cards.

Once all cards are distributed, the game ends, and you count your negative points. The black game pieces each count as one positive point. The player with the fewest negative points wins the game. The game comes with green and pink special cards to bring some variety to the gameplay.
