21-Day Decluttering Challenge: "Embrace Ease as We Approach Advent!"
The year is rapidly coming to an end. For many, the pre-Christmas season is stressful. This article presents a 21-day decluttering challenge to reduce chaos at home and embrace ease as we approach Advent.

The year is rapidly coming to an end. For me and many of you, the pre-Christmas season is anything but peaceful; it is usually quite stressful. Since reducing chaos outside contributes to more inner calm, I have decided to declutter quite a bit at home before Christmas. Our house is drowning in chaos because we find it hard to part with things and own far too many items. Therefore, the first step towards more order is decluttering and organizing! >> Here you can print the checklist for the decluttering challenge!

21-Day Decluttering Challenge: Achieve More Ease in 3 Weeks
To have a rough plan of which areas I want to tackle over the next 21 days until the first Advent, I have set categories. With the Decluttering Checklist to Check Off, I hope to make quick and structured progress. Sometimes, one feels so paralyzed by the chaos that it’s hard to find a starting point. A to-do list to check off, which can guide you while decluttering, is very useful. So, what will the next three weeks look like?

I have divided the categories for better clarity into three areas. Which areas in our home will we tackle to bring back more order and structure?
In the first week, the focus is on developing more routine in letting go. We will take small areas that we are not particularly emotionally attached to. This way, we gradually get into action and have initial successes that motivate us to continue.
In the second week, the focus is on the kitchen and bathroom. We will go through our supplies, clean out the refrigerator, and sort out unused cleaning products. This will help us regain more order and overview in our household.
In week three, the focus will be on our personal belongings and clothing. If you have children at home, feel free to sort out children's clothing directly. To make quick progress, you can concentrate on 5 items that should be decluttered. Now that the temperatures are getting colder and it’s starting to feel quite wintry, I will focus on winter clothing. I will check what can be sorted out from the summer clothing next year.

If you enjoy working with paper and pen like I do, you can print the decluttering checklist. I always found it very motivating to check off a point by hand with a real pen. Of course, you can also do it digitally if you prefer! Then, at the end, there will be no (hopefully completed) to-do list that you need to sort out again 😉
